Still Here... still hoping to lose

So I am still doing the Atkins induction plan and it is going pretty well.

Today's weight is 151 which means my fickle scale thinks I am thinner today. I don't ususally believe I have lost anything until my clothes fit more loosely though.

Following the plan is tough for me on work days. I work at a very well known fast food restaurant, and although most of the food is legal on Atkins induction, I am around it all day and don't really feel like eating it. Why is it that once I get home and shower and have some nice time to relax, a burger doesn't bother me at all????

Anyway, here are the things I have been eating and a game plan of ideas for the upcoming week.

Breakfast-- I have been eating two eggs (if I am at work) and a piece of sausage, OR today since I was at home I had spicy egg salad and cucumber slices. I always have at least one cup of coffee; either iced or regular, and I have no intention of stopping.

Lunch-- when at work this weekend I just had a burger pattie and some leaf lettuce. Today at home I will probably have a salad with carb free caesar dressing.

Dinner-- I have had a variety of dinners this weekend... ny strip steak and cauliflower, burgers and broccoli, chicken and green beans. Tonight will be chicken and some veggie that has yet to jump out and grab me.. but i am on my way to the veggie market later.

Snacks--when working I generally don't have time for snacks, so I don't have them. At home, I snack on slices of pepperoni or dill pickles. I know neither one is the worlds greatest food, but hey...that is what a snack is about!

Things that I am going to make today for our upcoming week to go more smoothly.

1. egg salad ( we keep this in the fridge because it is easy to spice any way you want it, quick to grab a bit in a hurry, and you can use crunchy stuff like celery to "scoop" it)

2. spongebob's flaxmeal bread I know there are varying schools of thought on the carbs in this one,but we keep it on hand. Andy likes it and managed to lose 60lbs having a slice of it every single day. He has it with butter as a snack or with his breakfast, as his "toast". We make it in a loaf pan and cut it into 16 pieces.

3, omlette muffins. These are simple. I take a dozen eggs, some kind of meat (right now we use turkey pastrami, but have used sausage, bacon, turkey) and some cheese (sharp cheddar) and mix together in a bowl. I scoop them into muffin cups (no papers) and bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes. These are perfect for microwaving in the mornings and just grabbing anytime you need something legal and don't feel like making anything.

Today's challenge--- drink my darn water. I have not made my water goal one day since I started.

Happy losing.
